Science have always fascinated me. No wonder I was glued to the telly, when the program Horizon was going on. The program was about the latest Theory about the Universe – the M thoery. No wonder, when I got a chance to chat with Santosh*, I shared the theory with him.

thisispraveen: its something like, all the building blocks are based on superstring

thisispraveen: but the scientists were in search of a theory that will explain everything
santosh_gopal: ummm…say i can give..
thisispraveen: but string theory had 5 different versions

thisispraveen: who was working on super gravity
thisispraveen: there was a bit of rivalry

thisispraveen: superstring worked with 10 dimensions
thisispraveen: and supergravity had 11 dimensions
thisispraveen: now they added up the 11th to the superstring theory and all the five different versionS

thisispraveen: and they concluded that its all a membrane in 11th dimension
thisispraveen: that is known a the membrane thoery or “M” theory

thisispraveen: any full theory of the universe has to explain everything
thisispraveen: including the big bang
thisispraveen: as the scientists were working on the 11th dimenstion

thisispraveen: they found that there are mathematically many membranes there
thisispraveen: they found that there has to be parallel universes
thisispraveen: and the big bang they assume is due to collision of membranes in 11th dimension
thisispraveen: and time can be traced even back than big bang
thisispraveen: Phew!!! that is in short the M thoery.. the latest theory around
thisispraveen: now tell me , do you have a theory which explains everything

thisispraveen: and you can prove it mathematically?!!
santosh_gopal: ummm..atleast bigbang and more
thisispraveen: can your theory explain, all the functions of teh physical universe and the bigbang
thisispraveen: the singularity concept etc?!!
thisispraveen: yes?
santosh_gopal: daa.i think it explains in principle almost all the existing fundaas i know
thisispraveen: can you put it in mathematical terms ?
santosh_gopal: it is a combination of mathematical theory and physical illustration
santosh_gopal: yaaa

thisispraveen: will you be able to complete whole thing given time
santosh_gopal: i have not done any whole hearted work on it
santosh_gopal: given no constraints..but then first the abstract should be verified and accepted..else no point

santosh_gopal: and it explains why an electron here in..
santosh_gopal: a body and that in another body in a distant star are exactly similar

santosh_gopal: and it explains inertia..why a body moving at a velocity should continue to do so

santosh_gopal: so…dont think its…worth anything…but if that what comes as a spark is acted upon for full effort..it can produce some thing…now this is a possibility

I was trying to find information about RAW(Research Analysis wing), the equivalent in India as Mossad of Israel, MI6 of United Kingdom. I always wondered, what kept the people of RAW together, in face of the level of corruption that the politicians and other bureaucrats involve in. They must be having a clear-cut vision of India, its security threats (internal and external) and a pulse about the nation.

For any nation, their intelligence agency plays a major role. They gather the internal as well as external information, by use of spies, use of latest technology and by (m)any other means. This information is used to protect the interests of the nation and its people. Intelligence agencies also play a major role in State sponsored terrorism.

Tonight I painted my first pot! And I was really proud of the outcome., and indeed it did look nice. Hopefully more pot paiting is going to come my way.

Ah! yes., I havent been blogging for a while now. I was busy. Went to India., got Married., went to Tamilnadu., Kerala., and Lakshadweep – A wonderful place to be in. If you are reading this, visit lakshadweep – go for it. After Lakshadweep, it was a short visit to Banglore before the journey back to London and its horrible winter.

Yes., I should be writing about anything and everything on the journal. Afterall its a space where I can put my thoughts as it happens. Either in an order or in disorder(as it happens most of the time). As a human, I expect attention, but I realize that in this space goes whatever I want., whether my journal grabs the attention of anyone else or not. This space is like a gallery canvas and you paint pictures just beacuse you like painting!

I should be writing regularly instead of regularly postponing writing! Abundance of topic lies below the sky and above the Earth’s Crust., but then there are even more topics to be written about, below earth and above Skies too! Time for me to get biting (writing in bits and bytes should be “biting” no?)

If you maintain a journal., do you flip back pages and read what you wrote some months ago? Ever heard your voice recorded on a tape and wondered how different it sounds! yes, your own voice sounds really different! We never fully understand ourselves till we stand outside ourselves and “look”. Your journal entries also will make you wonder, if you flip to the entries a couple of months old.

Human mind is like a sponge, absorbing impressions., The impressions come from the surroundings, circumstances and the society you take birth into. In time each mind is soaked, but has got individuality since each contains differtent levels and uniqueness of impression. Objective analysis of oneself and any situation becomes difficult as we see and analyze using the impression-tainted mind.

Yet, we get glimpses of Objective analysis, when we look at our childhood photo(after a long gap), read something which we had written long time back and the like, and wonder if we only had written that or is it my own picture! Before realizing the import of that impression, we move on, tuck away that picture or keep aside the writing and carry on with our “impresssion-gathering”.

We live a life hypnotically, not much different from anyone else, the only reason being, “thats the way we have been living for ages!!!”

Winter is making a comeback to UK. The trees are shedding their leaves, and the birds are making a vanishing act. Its getting dark by around 4 pm in the evening. Yes, Winter is not that welcome! In an Ideal situation, I would’ve shifted our office to Australia during this time., where its Summertime!

The understanding of the tilt of earth in its axis, and it affecting the winter and summer seasons enhances when one goes through the seasonal change in its full splendor. I read somewhere that in Alaska, there are places, where there wont be any sunshine for long durations during winter. The following picture graphically explains the reason why seasons appear on earth.

Earth is tilted in its axis. Due to this tilt and the revolution of the earth around Sun., the seasons happen. As the earth goes around sun, Either the Northern Hemisphere of the earth or the Southern Hemisphere of the earth is more closer to sun than the other part, causing winter/summer in the respective areas of earth. The If you can see this image in your mind clearly you have understood the reason for cause of seasons. Welcome, you have joined the league of people who wonder at nature.
