Get in Early into the office, and Get a lecture on getting Married from Rajesh and Smruti.. What a beginning for the day. Nearly one hour was spent on advising me to get married, and if possible in UK itself so that I can settle down here. Thanks., I will keep these in mind. Smruti, I had told you more than a year back, that after say another 5-10 years, I will be retiring, to my “Self Sustaining Farm House” (Alternate living??!!) and relax., maybe I will watch the world go by or just watch the paint dry. I havent changed a bit., I still has that in my mind. Thanks anyway.

I updated the Christmas party details today.. Go to the last Saturday’s,Sunday’s entry..

Just sent a Birthday Greeting to Radhu. I could not help the feeling, that I still like her a lot.

Had a lot of work in the office., but smuggled out sometime, when Pradeep’s mail came, invited him for a yahoo chat.. Had a good chat with him for around one hour..(Told him about my farmhouse!!) got back to work, finished many pending things, had a ’email-chat’ with Sunita. and off to home..Had a wash., Completed the journal for Saturday and Sunday., Zubin called up, he wanted to go to Sainsburys. Sent Birthday wishes to Prema.. (I came to know, today only from Pradeep, that her birthday is on 14th of Dec.)

Jimmy : So Praveen, You are becoming more of a tomboy.,
Praveen: why?!
Jimmy : I heard you kissed one of your boss at the Party
Praveen: No.. no no…She kissed me..(trying to Explain)
Jimmy : I get all the news!!
Erica : Praveen, you’re becoming outrageous..
Praveen: But..(trying to explain)

Oh..oh.. So went the Conversation, till

Praveen: Erica, There are two things in the world which makes a lot of money., Sex and God.,
Erica : Which one will you choose?!!
Jimmy : Sex., I’m answering for Praveen.
Erica : I’ll go for God!!(She’s a staunch Christian)
Praveen: (after a bit of thought) Given a choice, I will go for Money..!! (Other two seems boring)

PS:I am still writing the entries for Saturday and Sunday.. Will post it soon.. Hold you breath.

Called up Prasanth, and He wished me Happy Birhtday and soon the line got disconnected. I was unable to contact him later as I was not getting connection.

Was late at office,. So went home late, was getting ready to go for a swim, Jimmy (My house owner) and Erica(The other person Staying in the house.. a Student) were teasing me over a kiss I had in the X-mas Party..(I am still writing the journal entries for Saturday and Sunday and will post it soon). Meanwhile Zubin called up and wanted me there.. (I knew a Cake was in store for me, as a surprise). Girish came late, and by that time, we were already into “The Lost World – Jurassic Park II”., after Girish came, I cut the cake(blew a candle on top of it), Zubin and Girish got a piece and guess what, They mashed the cake on my face.. I also mashed it on them.. soon it was Rashmi’s turn.. She was looking for cover, but Could’nt escape the cake throw. Finally after wiping & cleaning the face, had a good dinner followed by Fruit Salad. I had got a gift from them.. a Digital organiser. I still am relying on my small telephone diary in my pocket. Went to sleep at around 11.00.

Zakir: Yes., but it ws not my fault, the car from behind hit me.
Rajesh: You must be driving really slow..

Praveen: Yes.., Zakir drives really fast.
Rajesh: Zakir, Does your wife drive??
Zakir: No…
Praveen (interrupting): Oh yes, She drives.. She drives Zakir mad..(Sometimes)

PS: Seema (Zakir’s wife) is a really good person., I’ve met her.

There are two possible ways of looking a things(there may be many). Sometime back, a Senior Colleague of mine, dumped some of his work on me.. I am to look into problems in the system, Which I have little knowledge of.

My Birthday today.. Mmm.. got up Early, got the Dabba, drove to office, Opened my Lotus notes Inbox and there was My Birthday Greetings from Rashmi, Zubin and Girish.. and Guess what., from Radhu too!! And in came Pradeep’s greetings as well. Rashmi & co’s greetings had the following words..

“I dont sent birthday cards to every nut I know.,
Just to nice nut like you”

and Pradeep’s said..

“When it comes to brothers.,
You’re a breed apart”

Radhu’s was a simple one. A Happy Birthday with a smile..

Later I received from Vanaja Maami also, wishing on behalf of Prem and Preeti.. and after that I reminded Sunita to wish me “Happy Birthday”, to which she responded fast.

Called up Appa & Amma and wished them a “Happy Marriage Anniversary”(30th year of Partnership and still going from strength to strength). Mom was really happy.. (I had asked dad to buy a Gold Ring for her from our(Mine and Prasanth’s) behalf. I secretly told amma to “maska-o-fy”(“soap-idal in malayalam”) appa to get another Silk saree.. She’s on the act. Appa also seem to be really happy and was talking to me, When I told him that I had touched 100mph!!(160 Kmph!!) during the drive which I went to X-mas party.. He told me off..(not really… but asked me to drive carefully..) Spoke to paati, she wanted me to pray for her early death without causing trouble to others.. Poor paati, Her health is still critical and doctors wonder how she is surviving. Dont worry patty., You have done good to so many.. You will not suffer more.

Also called up Shreya, and wished her “Happy Birthday”… Vaishali was busy in the party and so didnt come to the phone. I have to get the Barbie doll for Shreya, and send with Zubin and Girish, when they go to India in Jan.

Went to Sainburys, while going home, and for the first time, bought a ready made curry.. which only needs to be microwaved, came home, some telly, food and then sleep. I went to sleep early.. by around 8.30.. and got up early ie. 1.30 in the morning.. Switched off light.. and again snuggled under the quilt., got up again at 4.30 am, didnt want to get out of bed, remain half asleep, and was up at 5.30 (Thanks to the Alarm clock Screaming at me).

Today is Appa&Amma’s Marriage Anniversary.. I will be calling them up.. and today is Shreya’s Birthday also… (All Sagi’s are born great.. Wot say??) Shreya is Vaishali’s daughter. I’ve got the telephone card to call India., Only thing is that it has to connect.. Sometimes, it dosent connect and you feel really irritated. Hope it will connect today.. Have a lot of work to do..
