Kashmir Issue

The BBC has done an analysis of the Kashmir problem and has listed possible solutions for the same. Kashmir problem has been pulling back India and to a certain extent Pakistan for quite some time now. A resolution of the same will allow both countries to concentrate more on thier economic and social development. Currently the only country having any advantage with the Kashmir issue is China. Kashmir issue will keep both India and Pakistan occupied, while China can work on becoming the superpower of the region.

In the BBC analysis, it was interesting to find that the chinese occupied territory of Jammu and Kashmir does not come into picture at all. Neither India nor Pakistan brings up chinese occupied territory in any statement/discussion/rhetoric about Kashmir. Even the kashmiri’s who want Jammu and Kashmir as an Independent country are not interested in that territory! The plain truth is no one wants to offend China, who are militarily strong. (High time India modernised their army)

Another interesting point to note in the analysis is that nowhere was the possible solution of converting Actual Line of Control to International border discussed. I personally believe that it is the right solution to resolve the kashmir issue. Proposing An independent kashmir or Jammu and Kashmir belonging to either India or Pakistan, as a solution for the issue is fanciful thinking, all of which practically not implementable.

With the conversion of Actual Line of Control to International border, India can in effect abolish all the special staus given to Kashmir and integrate it completely to Indian mainland. The threat of terrorism will still exist, and voices will be raised, but in the long run it will be beneficial to India. Unfortunately this could only be achieved by bullying/coaxing Pakistan to sign on the dotted lines.

  2. Dekh Bhai Tambi,

Aisay bolnay say desh nahi chalta. Aur offices mein bhait kay analysis bhi nahi hoti. Tum bhi bus kisi ka likha pad kay apna opinion bana rahay hau aur apna naam kamanay ki koshish kar rahay hau.

Kya tum mein himat hai eak baar ja kar ground reality check karoo.

    Phir apna Original Idea chapoo.

Har koi bus apna naam popular karnay mein laga hao…ya wah wahi lutanay mein…..tum chahtay hau log tumhay bolay wah kya opinion hai tumhara.

    Sharam karoo…….

Mahtav (Importance) dayna hai…hai tau gaanv gaanv mein jaoo…..loogun kau jagrut karoo. Unhay unkay hak kay baray mein batoo…….

  4. Baniyaji,

sahi bolte ho. Desh ko aage badhaane ke liye, logon ko jaagrut karna chahiye.

Yeh baat sahi hai ki hum kisi ka likha padkey apna opinion banate hai. Agar tumhare saamne information hai, to analysis kidhar bhi ho sakta hai. Ground reality kya hai, iska majority information, khabarom se pata chalta hai. Haan reality mein jaake mehasoos karne ka alag hi anubhav hai, lekin yeh hamesha mumkin nahi hai.

Kashmir masle ke baare mein opinion likhne ke liye, kashmir jaana padega to aaj kashmir ka masla media mein hi nahi aata tha. Hamare jawan roz mar rahe hai, North east mein tanaav hai, militants logon ko maar rahe hai, ghatkopar mein bamb phat raha hai. Kya hum door baithe hain to kuch nahi kar sakte? Kya udhar raha key hi desh ki madat kar sakte hai. Hum humse jo ho raha hai woh nahi kar rahe? Aur apne desh ke baare mein kuch opinion hona sirf khud ka naam badaana hai?

Kisan sirf woh nahi hai jo hal chalaye, jawaan sirf woh nahi hai jo bandook chalaye.

  5. Recently on kargil operation, Military has opened up with Media and reduced the gap between the military and the civilians (Indian) and also changed the people’s perception on the pattern of high altitude areas conflicts. There have been media reports that the military has been talking out of turn, and counter views have also been expressed on the topic by some supposed thinkers. It is not by individual perceptions that policies are made and the subject, in today’s context needs to debated with select examples of the world military media relations kept as a backdrop and the examples of using the various media tools as force multipliers.
